About The Rebel
I am the person on the right as I am being questioned by airport personnel in 1969. I was taken to their office at the Los Angeles International Airport.
I spent three years fighting the Federal Aviation Administration in an effort to have them move the final approach pattern away from my home that was located twenty-two miles from the airport. I spent most of my life rebelling against authority whenever I felt it was unjustly imposing on my "acre" of life. In this book I tell about many of my fights.
One thing I stress is to Rebel before the system overwhelms
you . . .the I continue to always stay within the framework of the law. Read the introduction to The Rebel and you will be amazed at what an individual can do to change a law, rule, or regulation. In the case shown here, picketing was prohibited on airport property until I challenged the rule. While in the office of the airport police, I told them to call the Los Angeles City Attorney and tell them I was in their office. The message they got back was "Take him back to where you picked him up and leave him alone." In the scene above, I was distributing what I called the Air Travelers Safety News. It told about how negligent the FAA was and still is.
